Flowserve standard cartridge mechanical seals such as the ISC seals are designed for general purpose applications on ANSI and DIN process pumps serving chemical processing, pulp and paper, oil and refining, food and beverage, water and wastewater, and other industries.
The absence of a dynamic gasket in the bellows mechanical seal design eliminates the possibility of "hang-up," caused by build-up of deposits of gasket swell. A rotating bellow has the benefit of "self-cleaning action," disposing of particles or solids through centrifugal force.
Flowserve pusher mechanical seals incorporate secondary seals, called the dynamic gasket, that are pushed by springs axially along the shaft or sleeve to compensate for seal face wear or wobble due to misalignment.
The Pac-Seal brand of Flowserve utilizes a network of sealing industry engineering and manufacturing expertise to provide custom engineered solutions to OEM customers in the diesel, waste water & municipalities, agricultural, pool & spa, and food & beverage markets, for mid to high volume production. Pac-Seal also has an extensive range of high quality industry standard elastomer bellows seals available to suit OEM and replacement seal customers. Pac-Seal's quality system is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 standards.
Gas seal technology and gas seal operation depends on aerostatic and aerodynamic forces. Careful design keeps the two faces separated by a gas film. Aerodynamic forces are created by the presence of a 'pattern' on one of the faces.
In chemical, pharmaceutical, food and oil refinery process plants, diverse systems are employed for agitating, blending and mixing products. The units require low maintenance operation and safety, both to protect the environment and the workplace.
Centrifugal compressors and other turbomachinery are critical to the operation of a process plant. Selecting a manufacturer with well proven state-of-the-art low friction dry gas seals who can offer full field maintenance support is very important.
AESSEAL® is one of the major specialists in the design and manufacture of mechanical seals and support systems. Mechanical seals are used in pumps and rotating equipment to prevent liquids and gases from escaping into the environment.
Growth in excess of 25% per year has allowed AESSEAL® to become the only major international new entrant to the mechanical seals industry in the last twenty years. The current range of products is also expanding to cover new markets and niches. Continued improvement of existing products and design excellence help them achieve superior product performance.
